Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat)

Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Kit the Dog needs a home

Kit came to SoCo after she was found tethered to a chain in the hot sun.  She along with 14 other dogs were all living in the same conditions.  They had only a dog house to protect them from the elements.  The woman who was caring for these dogs tried her best but was unable to care for them as they needed to be.   Kit loves to run around and really enjoys her play time. She's a young girl that still has lots of puppy energy to expend.  She will need a family that can give her proper exercise needs.  Kit gets along well with other dogs and people alike.

On Kit's recent vet visit she tested positive for heart worms.  We are treating her with the slow-kill method in which the existing heart worms die off and no new ones form.  It's a lesser evasive way than other methods used.  Once adopted, Kit will need to be kept on a monthly preventative.  Other than her heart worm status, Kit seems to be in good health otherwise.  She is current on all her vaccinations- DHLPP, Rabies & Bordetella, and she is spayed.  If interested in this fun loving girl please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.
